Next Wednesday, March 13, the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on MND will meet in Parliament. The APPG is a chance to brief MPs on the most important issues of interest to the MND community.

Next week’s topic is Progress on Research and Access to Treatments

Of course, results from the Mirocals trial and access to low dose Interleukin 2 will be very much in the minds of patients. It is important that MPs, charities, ministers, consultants and NHS services alike are fully aware of the promise of and the challenges to accessing this potential treatment in the event of the much hoped for positive outcome to the trial which is widely expected.

We have produced a statement (download here) to send to all members of the APPG and also MPs in general who may or may not attend the meeting in person.

We have also produced a sample template message to use to write to your own MP. Of course, please feel at liberty to use your own words. You may already have written to your MP using the MND Association template but please help us by writing again because while we continue to work with our charities, it is vital patients and their families have their own independent voice heard at this meeting.

Huge thanks for your support.
