Cath Muir
Cath was diagnosed with MND in April 2014 and has spent her time since giving up her business fundraising and campaigning. Her husband, Ian, retired in 2020 to become Cath’s full time carer and is equally involved. Although in a power chair, using NIV 24/7 and communicating using Eye Gaze Cath refuses to sit back and let the world go by. Her latest fundraising idea is a calendar she has created using Eye Gaze to raise funds for her local support group. In the 9 years since diagnosis this is the most exciting time there has been with all the advances in research. She keeps saying “all it needs a push “
We are not afraid to get involved in national campaigning, and having the Prime Minister as our local MP has been very helpful indeed during our campaigning for #united2endmnd and in particular the new UK MND Research Institute.
