Remembering fellow campaigner and our friend Susan Duffy
We are all shocked by the news of the passing of Susan Duffy. Her son Gerard has written a few words below.
Susan Duffy received her ‘Eternal Cure’ on 5th January 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Throughout her years living with MND she never complained or questioned ‘why me’. She had strong faith and also believed in clinical trials, participating in two of these. Susan was determined that others shouldn’t have to live with MND and new treatments should be given safely to all patients. Susan lived for every precious moment with her family, her husband Pat, sons Gerard and Martin (Leone), and had great love for her grandchildren, Pat and Gracie.
Her mantra “Everyday is a gift. I’m so glad to be here”, lives on through her family, who will ensure her memory and legacy continues eternally.
