Letter to Minister ahead of Meeting on 26th April 2022
The UK government’s £50m wholly new commitment to a new MND Translational Research infrastructure is an amazing funding boost. But it can only fully realise the ambitions of the MND community and researchers with the streamlining of grant application processes.
Tomorrow (April 26th 2022) we will be meeting minister Gillian Keegan in Parliament to discuss what we hope finally will be the start of the single application process for the £50m governmental contribution to the MND Research Institute that will be the foundation of the PM’s promised mission back in November 2021.
Ahead of this meeting 12 leading MND UK Research Professors along with the Research leads of the MND Association, MND Scotland and My Name5 Doddie Foundation have sent this letter restating why only a single application can achieve the PM’s mission. Please share, and of course have a read!
